A passivation chemical forms a thin protective film on the surface of metal products to help inhibit oxidation and preserve finish integrity prior to final packaging or painting. Passivation is good for use on steel, stainless steel, and galvanised components. Many companies, for example, use passivation for their panel products, mechanical fasteners, formed goods, or machined parts where even small amounts of rust could result in product rejection.

All production batches are tested by internal quality staff before they are shipped. We also advise each customer on proper dilution and time of contact with product. Should watermarks or stains occur we will also review the quality of rinse water and sequence in production. The majority of issues arise from deficiencies in the process as opposed to chemical components.
